Perfect location only 5 minute walk from train station. staff were so friendly, couldn't do enough for us. our room was superb with a huge queen bed, so comfortable and room had a large bay window overlooking views of the Christmas Markets the Wheel and castle. Breakfast was served until 10am and there was lots of choice of hot and cold buffet food, cereals, breads, lots of fruit and fruit juices, yoghurt and pastries. service was first class. we also ate in the lounge and had the club sandwich which was great value for money and again perfect views of the Wheel and markets. Bedrooms are well equipped with Hairdryer in a bag on the shelf, an iron and ironing board and bathroom had lovely fluffy towels slippers and robes and lovely shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. there's a luggage room to leave luggage before and after check in which was great too. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we'll certainly be back.

Everything was fine, but the deal the hotel has with the parking garage is very bad: you cannot pay from a specific arrival time until the exact departure time when you use the discount code of the hotel. Instead you have to pay for two full calendar days and night, plus the hours in the third day. In our case: we arrived Wednesday 14:00 and left Friday 10:00, but paid for 00:00 Wdnesday untilFriday 10:00: from Wednesday midnight until Friday midnight plus the extra hours on Friday morning. So one pays more than the fee without the discount but for the exact arrival and departure time. In other words, it is a rip off.

Perfect location. Room was large, everything spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The breakfast was among the best I have ever had at a hotel - lots of choice, fresh, and well-managed so things are replenished seamlessly. We had a drink in the bar one night and a bar snack after a long day and evening out too, views from the restaurant area are lovely and the staff were wonderful. We chose the hotel for its location, which is ideal for everything you would want to visit on a first time trip to Edinburgh, but the hotel is worth staying at for so many other reasons. Great value too, we’ll be back.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in walking distance of all the main attractions, including the Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, Carlton Hill, Deans Village and Stockbridge. There is a lovely park across the road with a playground if you have young kids. The staff were really lovely. The room was quiet and very clean. Breakfast was really good with cooked options. There is a lovely view of the castle from the dining room. The hotel is really easy to access via public transport. We arrived by tram from the airport. Overall, we had a great stay and trip to Edinburgh.

The reception staff made us feel extremely welcomed when we arrived. They were chatting with us and we felt so comfortable with them. Particularly, this one man, who we didn't get this name, was super lovely to us. He had white hair and he worked the mornings shift. They upgraded us to a new suite, which was a great surprise. I made a note that we were celebrating our engagement and they made it feel even more special. The note and the chocolates were a very thoughtful gift. The dinner was fabulous and we felt so relaxed for the whole duration of our stay.
